Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Franciscan University and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. Emily has a certificate in trauma studies from Regent University and is a member of the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology. She is a certified Compassion Fatigue Therapist and Educator and a Field Traumatologist. Emily is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA).
Emily works with children and adults. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages who have experienced trauma of any kind. She enjoys helping clients navigate through the past trauma and unpack the ways that the past is currently impacting them. She enjoys utilizing EMDR and providing a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. She is currently accepting new virtual clients and has found that teletherapy with EMDR works well for many individuals.
Emily is EMDR trained and infuses trauma informed care into her work. Emily is passionate about helping others find solutions and healing and provides unconditional positive regard for each of her clients. This is ultimately sharing with her clients how God views them.
Her areas of experience include Oppositional Defiant Disorder, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Grief and Loss, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Blended families, School struggles, Divorce, Adoption, Abuse, Trauma, Parenting and Attachment struggles and Foster care. Emily is C-PTSD focus.
