Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Franciscan University and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. In addition, she has a certificate in trauma studies from Regent University. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA).
Emily utilizes a child centered play therapy approach for working with children primarily ages 3-12. She has experience working in an inpatient facility for children with significant trauma histories. In addition, she has provided multicultural counseling for children overseas. Prior to working in the field of counseling, Emily has worked with military families who have children with special needs and complex medical needs. She is passionate about working in this area of trauma and helping families navigate challenging situations. She is EMDR trained and infuses trauma informed care into her work with young children. Emily is passionate about helping young children and their families find solutions and healing and provides unconditional positive regard for each of her clients. This is ultimately sharing with her clients how God views them.
