Cindy is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. She has served as a missionary and church planter in Auckland, New Zealand, and Penang, Malaysia, and as a minister to international and American students from various universities for 27 years. As an international herself, a native of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, she has engaged people from all walks of life. Cindy considers it an honor to be able to partner with each client to help improve their emotional, mental, and spiritual health and their interpersonal relationships from a biopsychosocial perspective. She values the client-counselor relationship and places a premium on cultivating a compassionate, curious, and humble environment. Cindy will work collaboratively with the client by navigating alongside them to understand issues, identify goals, and empower the client on their healing journey and development. Nothing brings Cindy greater joy than witnessing a client gain a new perspective and renewed hope for their life situation and purpose. She will assist the client in customizing their specific needs and goals by employing effective psychotherapy techniques and biblical principles to bring out the client’s strengths. Cindy enjoys working with adults in all life stages and from multicultural backgrounds. Her focus areas include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, life transitions, relational issues, and interpersonal communication.
