Ebonee will begin seeing clients the week of September 22, 2025.
Ebonee is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who works with individuals and couples, ages 18 and up. She is intentional about creating a safe and welcoming environment. Her personality is calming, and her presence as a counselor is stable and consistent. She desires that clients leave each session feeling heard and understood, as well as motivated to continue their journey of holistic growth and healing.
As a therapist, Ebonee enjoys working collaboratively with clients. She uses clients’ expertise of their own story and lived experiences, and applies her wisdom and therapeutic techniques to help clients reach their goals. She values a combination of practical skills and coping mechanisms while also desiring to help clients get to the root of their issues. Additionally, Ebonee uses various theoretical frameworks and interventions to help clients. She tailors her approach to each client’s needs and goals; drawing from a variety of frameworks including attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
Ebonee is a certified Prepare Enrich facilitator for couples. As a couples therapist, she uses techniques from Emotionally Focused Therapy. She believes every couple finds themselves in a negative cycle. They need help figuring out a positive, healthy cycle to engage instead. She helps married and engaged couples process their thoughts and feelings in a non judgmental space.
Ebonee has a Master of Arts in Christian Marriage, Family, and Individual Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from North Carolina State University. She believes God has given her the gifts of encouragement and discernment. This enables her to be both caring, but direct. Ebonee can integrate theology and spirituality into the psychological practice when preferred by clients.
