Renee recently joined LifeCare and is a board-certified Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Prior to joining Lifecare, Renee gained experience through a variety of settings, including clinical experience at a local counseling practice as well as in ministry where she has worked at her church for the past 25 years. 

While building relationships which rely on trust, Renee seeks to create an environment that is free from shame and judgment while remaining unbiased toward her client’s concerns. Her counseling style focuses upon developing an in-depth understanding of the person, their struggles in the current moment, and their personal experience of God in their life. With her clients, Renee seeks to quickly establish a meaningful and genuine relationship based-on warmth, understanding, and compassion. She also seeks an openness to the work of God during the process of counseling. If a client prefers, Renee is comfortable using a more clinical-based approach to counseling, making her versatile when it comes to the needs of her clients.

Renee enjoys working with adolescents and adults in all stages of life. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, major life changes, marital growth, parenting, grief or loss, maternal mental health, emotional uncertainty, and relational issues. Renee understands the importance of having a person that you can lean on, so she understands and appreciates the significance and value of having someone that people can depend on in their time of need.

Passionate about helping people live a rewarding life that brings glory to God, Renee strives to incorporate the Christian worldview, Biblical concepts, and evidence based clinical practices in order to provide the highest quality therapy services. She is mindful and respectful of each person’s unique experience with faith, while utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques based on each client’s individual needs, strengths, and preference.
