Jeremy completed his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and has received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Environmental Studies, from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He retired from the NC Army National Guard after 22 years of service as a Chemical Officer and worked as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry during that time.

He views counseling as an opportunity to provide a secure, nonjudgmental, and loving environment to clients who desire to journey toward healing and growth. Jeremy considers counseling as a collaborative journey, respecting that the client is the expert of their own life and tends to lean towards Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in his approach along with Attachment Theory. He believes that working with clients utilizing a philosophy of interdisciplinary integration incorporating both psychology and theology. This interdisciplinary integration flows from a deep appreciation from theology and a profound personal transformation caused by a personal relationship with Christ. He focuses on spiritual growth and the realities of life that can impact relationship, emotional, and developmental issues. God wants us to be reconciled with Him and bring back things to the way they were intended to be through our spiritual growth and formation. 

Paul said, “All is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting man’s sins against them.  And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation” (2 Cor. 5:18-19).

Jeremy enjoys working with adolescents and adults in all life stages. His areas of focus include depression, anxiety, grief/loss, major life changes, and chronic health issues. Jeremy has an additional interest in counseling individuals who have a family member or relationship with a person reflecting symptoms of various Personality Disorders.
