Diane is a board certified Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). She enjoys working with individuals (late teens and older) and couples in the therapy room. Diane’s previous experience includes working with “at-risk” children ages 7-13 for over 11 years allowing her to understand young minds and behaviors which has equipped her in understanding childhood attachments and our family influences into young adulthood and adulthood. In addition, she volunteered for 3 years with the elderly community. Diane has been trained but not limited to work with those suffering with depression, anger management issues, anxiety, parenting, and marital or relationship issues, as well as sexual addictions and/or inappropriate behaviors. Diane offers a non-judgmental counseling experience using her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Psychotherapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) approaches. These techniques help bring awareness, change perceptions about circumstances which can in-turn, help change emotions and then behaviors. Diane is strongly influenced by her Christian worldview, however she respects the personal uniqueness and self-determination of each individual to choose a more secular approach to counseling if so desired. Diane believe’s that in order to thrive, we must approach issues from a holistic perspective, treating the mind, body and spirit.
