Catherine is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina State University and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University.

Catherine understands how difficult it can be to take the first step in asking for support. Because of this, she strives to meet her clients exactly where they are in terms of individual characteristics, preferences, needs, abilities, and spiritual beliefs. Catherine knows this will look different for everyone which means therapy must be tailored specifically to each client. She recognizes that often our emotional challenges are complex in nature and, therefore, seeks to treat the client as a whole by exploring the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual components to obstacles and growth.

Catherine creates a safe space to come as you are and to uncover your strengths, areas of growth, and potential in Christ. She believes true transformation requires a strong therapeutic alliance and your willingness to commit and accept ownership of your actions and life. In doing so, Catherine is able to collaborate with you the client to create a therapy relationship that is productive for you.

Her approach to counseling is integrative with a focus on developing specific goals for growth and helping you navigate the path to achieve them. She believes everyone has the capability to face and conquer their personal struggles, whatever they may be, and is passionate about helping clients to discover and enhance their abilities.

Catherine has enjoyed working with children 12 years old and older, adolescents, young adults, and mature adults. Her areas of experience include depression, anxiety, grief/loss, identity, life adjustments and transitions. As a Christian, she acknowledges that others may have differing beliefs, and she welcomes those from all different backgrounds and spirituality.
