LifeCare Mission and Vision

Mission and Vision

Mission

LifeCare Counseling and Coaching was established in 2008 with the mission of providing quality professional counseling that integrates sound psychological practices with theological principles through the prayerful leading of the Holy Spirit. The practice was also created to serve as a resource to churches and pastors in the community for counseling, support, and training opportunities.

Over the years, our practice has grown steadily.  We are honored to serve our community in providing compassionate care while we continually seek cutting-edge professional training to enhance our skills. We believe that God has been at the center of our vision, and we are humbled by each life that has been touched through LifeCare.

In late 2023, we added two DBA names to LifeCare. They are LifeCare Counseling and Psychiatry and LifeCare Psychiatry. We did this to emphasize the importance of our psychiatric team to LifeCare.

We are committed to continue to advance our skills as mental health practitioners,  attend to our own spiritual journeys, and serve in our local churches and communities.

Vision

Counseling

Professionally licensed counselors, marriage and family therapists, and social workers along with provisionally licensed counselors and interns offer therapeutic help to individuals, families, and marriages. This is provided through (a) individual counseling, (b) group counseling, (c) coaching, (d) marriage and family counseling, (e) assessments, and (f) workshops.

Psychiatry

We are “spirit, soul and body” (1 Thess. 5:23). The brain is an organ just like any other in our body and at times may not function properly. Sometimes medications are needed to help restore balance to brain functioning. Our psychiatrist and counselors will work together to address the whole person.

Prayer

Prayer is the heartbeat of LifeCare. From its inception, committed intercessors pray regularly for the ministry. Counselors may also integrate scripture and prayer into the counseling session at the request of the client. Some counselors are specifically are trained to use prayer-based interventions as part of the treatment.

Supervision

LifeCare is passionate about giving back to the profession through the supervision and training of counselors. We partner with universities and theological institutions to train counselor interns. We also provide supervision to candidates completing the requirements of NC licensing boards. Supervision covers professional growth as well as personal growth.
