Jenny is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received a Bachelor of Social Work from Campbell University (2003) and a Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University (2007). She brings over 10 years of experience working in a variety of settings which include: the school system, various hospitals, community mental health agencies along with private practice. In these roles, she has worked with a diverse population conducting assessments, creating crisis plans, teaching parenting classes and providing ongoing counseling.
As a practitioner client’s often comment on her warm and approachable nature and her high school graduating class awarded her with Best Personality superlative. She most enjoys working with upper elementary age children, girls in their teens and women. The issues she is most suited for helping clients with are depression, fear/anxiety, trauma, cross-cultural stress, women’s issues, life adjustments, sexual abuse and childhood behavioral problems. In her counseling she uses proven therapy models with an emphasis on the application of scripture and prayer to aid each client as they move towards healing, freedom and restoration in Christ and with others.
Jenny has taken full advantage of her membership of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) by attending various trainings and conferences . She is a lifelong learner and enjoys reading as an additional way to foster professional growth. In addition, Jenny has a very big heart for overseas missions as she served as a missionary in Mexico for almost two years.
